Agronomists and farmers work to ensure the quality of vegetable production due to its nutritional importance, but they often face several fungal diseases that cause damage to crops. This study aims to examine the impact and evolution of fungal diseases in the El-Menia region of Algeria during 2023/2024, in order to identify and better understand their impact and propose solutions to prevent them. We targeted 4 areas in which certain symptoms were observed, indicating the presence of a fungal infection. After sampling and laboratory diagnosis, we identified three fungal genera (Alternaria; Fusarium; Penicillium). Out of a total of 19 isolates, the results showed the dominance of the Alternaria genus, where it represented 72% of isolates, followed by Fusarium and Penicillium with the same rate of 14%. Analysis of the situation reveals that the presence of fungal diseases in the El-Menia region is causing damage to crops and constraints for farmers. In the absence of corrective measures, the problem could worsen and have negative repercussions on the region's agricultural production.
