The Algerian desert is characterized by a great floristic diversity, and the most important plant found in ELMenia desert is the Oudneya africana plant, as it has important biological characteristics. Oudneya africana was extracted by soaking in different solvents (acetone, methanol, and ethanol). The toxicity test was carried out by contact, where the highest mortality rate was recorded with the ethanolic extract of 73%, while all extracts showed toxic effects at different concentrations and over time against Tribolium castaneum.
