Abstract:
Our work is interested in the study of the physico-chemical and bacteriological quality of mineral waters intended for human consumption in the El-Menia region.
In the methodology part, we studied the physico-chemical and bacteriological quality of the waters of two mineral water operating units “El-Goléa” and “Salsabil”, as well as their comparison with its physico-chemical composition indicated on the labels and with drinking standards.
The results of the physicochemical analyzes obtained respect the potability standards required by the Algerian state and the WHO. However, the results show a slight variation in the values compared to the values indicated on the labeling.
The results of the bacteriological parameters obtained show the absence of germs indicative of fecal contamination such as total and fecal coliforms and fecal Streptococci.
Bottled water from these waters is classified as having acceptable quality on a bacteriological level and also on a physico-chemical level.
