The purpose of this work is to discover the variety of rodents and calculate the damage they cause to agricultural areas in the region of El-Ménèa. Various kinds of traps (BTS, swatter and sticky traps) were used to conduct the study. We carried out excavations and prospecting in agricultural areas in three selected stations in the region of El-Ménèa. After using various types of traps, we were able to locate 37 individuals of 7 rodent species, 5 of which belong to the Muridae family. The first species is G. gerbillus (12 individuals), the second species is G. tarabuli (2 individuals), the third species is G. amoenus (9 individuals), the fourth species is G. henleyi (3 individuals) and the fifth species is G. tarabuli (2 individuals),The species G. campestris has (9 individuals) and two members of the Dipodidae family, the first species Jaculus jaculus (1 individual) and the second species J. orientalis (1 individual). The species G. gerbillus is the most widespread in the stations (AR=32.43%) compared to the less widespread species Jaculus jaculus and J. orientalis (AR=2.7%). We recorded four categories for frequency of occurrence. Classifications of consequences G. gerbillus (FO%=85.71), regular classifications G. amoenus (FO%=71.43), classifications of accessories G. henleyi, G. trabuli, G. campestris (FO%= 28.57) and Accidental classifications J. jaculus, J. orientalis (FO%=14.29). The El-Menia area is considered to have low rodent species diversity (H = 2.32 bits and HMax
= 2.80 bits), and there is no regularity among the species listed in terms of number of individuals inhabiting the stations studied (E = 0,82).
