الخلاصة:
The scarcity of rainfall and the imbalance between needs and available resources help
justify the agricultural use of treated wastewater. The aim of this study is to evaluate
the physicochemical and microbiological quality of treated wastewater from the Atteuf
wastewater treatment plant (Ghardaia city) in order to determine the opportunity for
reuse of treated effluents in agriculture. In terms of physiochemical quality, it can be
divided into contents from physiochemical standards that exceed the Algerian
standards for reuse (CE, MES, turbidity, dissolved oxygen) within acceptable standards
(pH, nitrate, orthophosphate, and ammonium). The results obtained from the
microbiological parameters showed the ineffectiveness of this wastewater treatment.
Therefore, it is not recommended to use this water, especially in crops for human
consumption
