Abstract:
Waters are one of the important sources of the planet. Good quality drinking water tastes good
and is odorless. In its natural state, a concentration of mineralization introduces a more or less
accentuated taste into the water. This work consists in evaluating the physicochemical and
bacteriological quality of the thermal waters in the municipality of zelfana of the region o
Ghardaïa which occupies a central position in the north of the Algerian Sahara by connecting
the north to the south.
the study aims to present the main characteristics: of the waters of the plain. It will also make
it possible to know the causes of water contamination and to carry out the feasibility in
various physico-chemical analyzes to provide the consumer with healthy water, free of all
foreign bodies and in accordance with Algerian quality standards.
The results obtained on the plan, chemical quality of waters: whose hardness and
mineralization are important is show values sometimes slightly exceed the standard with
contents of sulphates and Calcium, and to a lesser degree in chlorides and bicarbonates. It also
confirmed acceptable potability.
