Our study is a survey of pests and diseases that affect citrus fruits and the effective means to
combat them in Ghardaïa region, and to evaluate the effectiveness of the control methods
applied, And from our visit to the agricultural services, and through farm visits, we found that
Ghardaïa has no citrus orchard because the farmer is not interested in growing citrus fruits and
there is a special variety in the state called local lemon tree.5 types of pest were found
(Mediterranean fly, citrus leaf miner, black citrus aphid, citrus red mite, boufaroua). And
exceptionally, the boufaroua appeared as a pest attacking citrus fruits.
The control method used by farmers is chemical control.
