This work is a phyto-ecological study of the vegetation area distribution. Paths of Algerian Septentional Sahara in the Wilaya of
Ghardaia are carried out in three stations: Oued Sebseb, Chaab Sbaa, Oued Metlili
In order to facilitate the quantitative studies, in each station samples of sub-stations of 100 m² are necessary in which we’ve applied
different floristic analyses and obtained the number species counted 25, distributed on 14 families in which the most represented is
the Asteraceae. Among these species, 14 are perennial and 11 are ephemeral.
- The relative frequency varied from 3.70% to 59.26% in the most important is Pituranthos Chloranthus and there is 6 species with a
frequency of 3.70% depending on the diversity of species and zone of study.
- The recovery change according to the abundance and individual life cycle, in the region the second station is the most recovered
with a rate of 18.91 m² followed by the third station with a rate of over 5.16 m² and the first one with a rate of recovery equal to
4.24 m².
- The area distribution of vegetation in the Saharian paths are random in the majority of cases, sometimes in aggregation and rarely
regular or uniformed, by reason of instability of the natural environment situation and the heterogeneity of the surrounding.
