dc.description.abstract Our work consists in evaluating the diversity of rodent species that colonize mainly the natural desert environments represented in our study by (Daïa and Erg) at two stations in southern Algeria, respectively, Guerrara and Ouargla, during 6 months of September 2016 to February 2017. This study aims to contribute to the identification of wild rodent populations in the two stations of studies, and help complete the information on the limits of their distributions in these representative stations investigation zone. For this, we used the method of sampling by a linear trapping. A trapping effort of 1,200 nights - traps, allowed to have 56 individuals of rodents in 6 Species of Muridae family, who are represented by two subfamilies namely Murinae (M.musculus, R. rattus) and Gerbillinae (G. nanus G. Gerbillus, G.campestris and M. shawi). Viewpoint capture effort, G. nanus species is most abundant in the Guerrara station (F.C. = 74.19%). On the other hand, in the Ouargla station, G. gerbillus remains the most caught species (F.c = 56%). EN_en
