Abstract:
Controlling soils quality in irrigated areas is an indispensable process to measure the
sustainability of production system, as such the spatial variability of irrigated soils, is a way to
know the evolution of the quality.
The present work has been realized in the region of Zelfana, it is essentially relys on
the evaluation of the impact of the date palm culture focusing on experimental values of some
proprieties (pH, calcareous).
Three plots of soil (cultivated, not cultivated under palm trees and outside of date palm
culture were sampled according to a systematic grid of 8x8m.
The analytical results illustrate that the soil is moderately to strongly calcareous and
alkaline to very alkaline in the mentioned area , calcareous profile is increases during all the
study; About pH profile, we mention that it increase in cultivated plot and decrease in the
remaining plots.
The analysis of the rate of annual variation of studied parameters showed a very highly
significant increase of the calcareous and a very highly significant decrease of the pH.
The spatial variation of calcareous is moderated in cultivated plot and high in bothun
all study cultivated plots, while the pH is low rate in all study plots. Geostatistical modeling
study of experimental variograms showed the effectiveness of the sampling chosen.
The spatial and vertical variations of the calcareous and pH are influenced by the
region of Zelfana.
