Abstract:
The study aims to uncover the relationship between the methods of perceived
parenting and self-learning for the learner in addition to highlighting the differences
between the two previous variables according to the difference of gender (males and
females) and the educational institution (public and private), on a sample of 80 male
and female students of the fourth year average level in Ghardaia, and for the same
purpose we used two measurement tools, namely: the Parental Treatment Scale of
Pierce and his colleagues, which was translated into Arabic by “Mohamed El-Sayed
Abdel Rahman” and “Maher Mostafa” and adapted by “Real Fayza” to the Algerian
environment, and the Self-Learning Scale for "Hassan Al-Bataa Mohamed El-Ati",
whose articles were reformulated by the researcher "Louisa Messaoudi" on the
Algerian environment, and the descriptive approach was followed in the study.
After statistical treatment using the statistical program (Spss), the results were
as follows:
1- There is a statistically significant relationship between the methods of perceived
parenting and self-learning of the learner in light of the Corona pandemic among the
sample of fourth-year middle school students in Ghardaia.
2-There are statistically significant differences between the methods of perceived
parental treatment in the treatment of the mother and that of the father.
3- There are no statistically significant differences between males and females in the
relationship between the methods of perceived parenting and self-learning of the
learner in a sample of fourth-year middle school students in Ghardaia.
4-There is no statistically significant relationship between the two types of
educational institutions (public / private) in the relationship between the methods of
perceived parenting and self-learning of the learner among a sample of fourth-year
middle school students in Ghardaia.
In light of the results of the study, the following two recommendations were
recommended:
Paying attention to the method of parental treatment as it is the best approach in the
formation of the learner in a solid and firmly scientific formation, as this can only
be done by saturating the learner with self-learning mechanisms.
Accompanying parents is an educational accompaniment that serves the
educational curricula, through a planned and constructive tool embodied in a guide
directed to parents, simulated in guiding and caring for children scientifically,
psychologically and educationally.
