dc.description.abstract The student of the course of the jurisprudential movement in Algeria during the Ottoman era must have known two schools of Islamic jurisprudence: The Hanafi school / Maliki school, as the latter prevailed in Algeria for a long period of time, before the advent of the Ottomans. The 16th century brought with them the Hanafi school of thought, which is considered an official doctrine of the Ottoman state, and a doctrine of the official authority in the province of Algeria. He was distinguished by the duality of his body between the Hanafis and the Malikis, in addition to the field of confinement, endowment and education, which brought together jurists and teachers of the two schools of thought, with a teaching curriculum that includes the jurisprudence of the two schools of thought. This coexistence and compatibility between the Maliki and Hanafi sects had repercussions on society and the ruling authority, as the relationship of cooperation and coordination between them was characterized in several matters and in many general issues related to Algerian society, but this does not exclude that coexistence prevailed a kind of tension and estrangement, as well as grudge in some matters and issues.
