The present study aimed to reveal the relationship between quality of
life and mental health among a sample of students residing in university
residency in both Ghardaia and Laghouat, and this study was based on the
descriptive approach, and the study sample consisted of (200) students, of
whom (93) were males, and (107) females, registered in the academic year
2019_2020, and they were chosen by the available non-random method
(facilitated), and the quality of life scale for university students (prepared
Mansi and Kazem 2006) was used, and the mental health scale prepared
by Leonard and others. Data and its statistical analysis based on the
Statistics Package System for Social Sciences (SPSS).
While the results of this study showed the following:
The existence of a strong positive correlation between quality of life and
mental health.
The presence of an average level of quality of life for the sample.
The mental health symptoms that appear on the students were also
arranged, and the quality of life dimensions were arranged according to
their importance for students residing in the university residence in
Ghardaia Laghouat.
Where there was a difference in the quality of life and mental health due
the variable of sex, and in contrast there is no difference in the quality of
life and mental health due to the variable of age, university residency and
the interaction between them.
The dimensions of the quality of life levels which are the quality of
public health, the quality of family life, the quality of education, the quality
management, and the quality of emotions on mental health are not
affected. While there is a difference in the impact of low mental health and
emotional quality on the mental health of students residing in university
residence. |
