The phenomenon of the spread of Sufi orders in Algeria is a multi-dimensional
religious and cultural phenomenon that arose in certain intellectual, social and political
circumstances, and played important historical roles in the history of the ancient
Algerian Islamic civilization, which in turn allowed it to penetrate many aspects of the
lives of Algerians, and among the most prominent of these orders is The "Shaykhiya and
Qadiri orders" gained a strong presence over time and were able to establish their
presence among a huge number of different Sufi orders. This is clearly demonstrated by
their adoption of a single thought based on religion and the homeland, because they
found in it a means to change the condition of Algerian society. Despite The two
founders differed in their orientation and geography, but the two paths witnessed
intellectual agreement in some principles and goals, such as spreading the Islamic
religion and adopting the idea of national jihad against usurping colonialism and fighting
heresies and superstitions... etc., as some Algerian regions witnessed the presence of the
Sheikh zawiya alongside the Qadiri zawiya side by side. Side by side, like the city of
Matlili Chaanba, which indicates their coexistence and intellectual compatibility.
From this standpoint, we aimed to present this article, which sheds light on a
fundamental issue that aims to study aspects of intellectual compatibility between the
Sheikh and Qadiri orders from an objective, academic, scientific perspective, in light of
the two methods’ approach to one thought. So where are the manifestations of this
evident, O Rich? |
