In our current research, we are exploring alternative methods of crop protection against weeds without the use of chemical pesticides which have harmful effects on the environment and humans by studying the alleochemical impact of plant extracts. from plant waste: onion tunics and sweet potato peels on the germination and growth of barley plants. Our study is based on the evaluation of the herbicidal properties by carrying out tests by applying different concentrations (100% 50% 25% 12.5% and 6.25%) of the two extracts on the test species: barley (Hordeum vulgare). The results showed two types; the inhibitory effect and the stimulating effect. The inhibitory effect is very strong while the stimulating effect is very weak in both extracts.EN_en
