Abstract: The search for renewable energy sources is vital in the face of the decline of fossil fuels and environmental concerns. Solar energy, particularly thanks to photovoltaic cells, is characterized by its abundance and cleanliness. However, high manufacturing costs hamper their widespread adoption. To solve this problem, developments aim to improve conversion efficiency while re- ducing expenses. Heterogeneous photovoltaics, combining different materials, are promising. This study focuses on the optimization of parameters such as layer thickness and doping con- centration using AF ORS−HET simulation software. The results show that thin emitting films and thick absorber layers improve efficiency. The optimized structure achieves a remarkable ef- ficiency of 24.97%. These results highlight the importance of precise parameter optimization to maximize the performance of heterogeneous photovoltaic solar cells.
