Abstract: This study aims to assess the extent of end-stage chronic kidney disease among diabetic patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment in Ghardaïa, and to determine the characteristics of these patients including age, gender, and clinical profile. Diabetic nephropathy, the leading cause of kidney failure in diabetics, is concerning due to its serious implications for public health, significantly impacting patients' quality of life. The study's findings indicate a significant prevalence of chronic kidney disease among these patients, predominantly affecting those over 50 years old and predominantly males (57.77%). Type 1 diabetes is more frequently associated with this complication. Identified risk factors include inadequate glycemic control, hypertension, family history of diabetes, and unhealthy lifestyles. To enhance clinical outcomes and patient quality of life, proactive management of diabetes and its complications is crucial, necessitating an integrated multidisciplinary approach
