Abstract: This work to evaluate the antibacterial and antioxidant effect of essential oil extracted from Eucalyptus globulus from three regions of Algeria El-Menia, Ghardaïa and Ouargla. The essential oils are extracted using hydrodistillation technology. The extraction yield reached 0.94% at Ghardaïa. 0.43% El-Menia and 0.315% in Ouargla per 100 grams of plant studied. The antimicrobial activity of the extracts was evaluated by the method of diffusion by disc on agar against five types of bacteria and a yeast. Escherichia coli, Enterococcus faecalis is more sensitive to inhibition with a diameter of 13 mm and 14 mm respectively. The antioxidant activity of the essential oil was evaluated by the DPPH method, The extracts showed a strong antioxidant activity, the essential oil of Ouargla exhibiting the highest activity with IC50=27.0309 mg / ml, followed by the essential oil of El-Menia with IC50 =39.5964 mg / ml and IC50 =96.5316 mg / ml for the essential oil of Ghardaïa
