dc.description.abstract | The present study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of teaching English vocabulary through songs to young English learners in Algeria. The participants of the study consisted of 41 third grade pupils at primary school .The researchers adopted a quasi experimental method based on forming two matching groups (the experimental and the control group), assessing the learners by means of pre and post tests and analyzing the results. The findings revealed that there was no significant difference in the mean scores of the experimental group which was instructed with songs and the control group taught using the traditional method (PPP) in the post-test. However, songs had a positive impact on the experimental class as it contributed to a dynamic and enjoyable learning experience, encouraging active participation and facilitating vocabulary learning. | EN_en |
