The present work focuses on the research of the allelochemical potentiality of five aqueous extracts of plants (Lantana camara leaves, Punica granatum leaves and peelings and leaves and seeds of ricinus communis) on the germination and development of seedlings of the three weed species plantago logopus; cardaria draba and bromus rubens. In order to have a natural herbicide of vegetal origin, we did biological testing to test the inhibitory effect of seed germination of the three species treated by different concentrations of aqueous extracts. The results obtained show the presence of two forms of effects: inhibition effect (total or partial) and stimulation effect. The seeds of the P.logopus species show a total inhibition for the L.camara extract- treated lots by the 30% and more, concentration; 40%; 50% and 100%, P. granatum leaves and peelings with doses 40%; 50% and 100%, and concentrations 20% at 100% for the extract of R. communis leaves. While the R. communis seed extract exhibits root and aerial length stimulation for concentrations of 5% to 50%. On the other hand for the concentration 100% one notices a partial inhibition. The seeds of C. draba and B. rubens undergo a total inhibition of their germination in the lots treated with the extract of leaves of L. camara; P. granatum leaves and peelings and R.communis leaves for concentrations from 30% and above, except for the extract of R. communis seeds which totally inhibits at doses of 50% and 100%. Partial inhibition occurs at 5% doses; 10% and 20%. The effect of R. communis leaves is the most inhibitory one, with which the seeds of C. draba and B. rubens were more affected than those of P. lagopus.EN_en
