Abstract: This work is a comparison of results to study of the edaphic conditions influence on the spatial distribution of Zygophyllum album in the Ouargla basin between 2006 and 2016. In the aims to represent the different Zygophyllum album biotops in Ouargla basin. 4 selected ecological sites were studied. Edaphic and floristic characterizations were carried out in these sites. The floristic sampling by subjective method made possible to recognise the plants associated with Zygophyllum album. 4 species were recognized, they belong to the various families. The field and analytical study of the pedological profiles in the studied sites showed that the soils are qualified as saline to hyper-saline. Soils moister is strong in the sites (2), (3), and (4) but in the sites (1) soils are weakly moist. Studied profiles are enriched with gypsum, it exceeds 30%. the soils texture is sandy in all the studied sites. The soils are meanly to moderately carbonated. In conclusion, the analysis the edaphic conditions as salinity and gypsum have a large influence on the spatial distribution of Zygophyllum album. The comparison shows that not only the edaphic conditions that have impulses on the distribution and we need other contributions to studies of other factors.
