The maximum extension of its lands from north to south covers about 13 latitudinal circles, and the maximum extension of its lands from east to west is about 12 lines of longitude. Mauritanian society was famous for its prestigious scientific institutions known as “Al-Mahdara”, which preserved the country’s Culture identity and scholars who had a great reputation in both the Arabic and Islamic world graduated from "Al Mahdara". Mauritanian society was distinguished by different customs and traditions, such as parties, marriages, and many religious holidays, and this was a distinction by their celebration of them in their own way.EN_en
