L’exotisme dans la littérature de voyage.

Abstract

L'Asie est un continent qui fait partie de l'Extrême-Orient lointain. Il possède une multitude naturelle et culturelle différente de celles de l'Europe. Cet endroit étrange ne cesse de fasciner de nombreux voyageurs qui cherchent à nourrir leur désir de vivre l’exotisme. Ce dernier est un sentiment de fascination envers un Ailleurs étranger. Il se manifeste dans la perception de toutes choses qui n'est pas soi-même. En effet, Pierre Loti est un écrivain français connu par son amour pour les pays orientaux à travers ses récits de voyage. Ces pays sont l'endroit où l'écrivain-voyageur relate tous les évènements vécus durant son périple, afin de représenter l’Ailleurs et l’Autre étrangers. Dans notre mémoire, nous avons montré à travers «Un pèlerin d'Angkor» le sentiment d'exotisme présenté par Pierre Loti envers le Cambodge, un pays asiatique plein de mystère et d'exotisme. Asia is the continent that belongs to the Far East. It possesses a large number of natural and cultural groups that are alien to those in Europe. This strange place still fascinates many travelers who seek to feed their need for exoticism. The latter is a feeling of fascination towards a strange outside place. This feeling is manifested in the perception of all things that are not subordinate to us. Actually Pierre Loti is a French writer known for his love of the Oriental word through his travel stories. The Orient is in fact the place where the traveling writer recounts all events during his journey, as to represent The stranger "Elsewhere" and the strange "Other". In our research, we have shown through "Un pèlerind'Angkor," "The Pilgrim to Angkor," the exoticism expressed by Pierre Loti towards Cambodia, an Asian country full of mystery and exoticism.
