Abstract

The city of Constantine, the capital of the Algerian east, was known for its prestigious position in all fields during the period of its entry under the Ottoman rule. During this period, it witnessed changes in political, social, administrative, cultural and economic life, and the Beylik of the East is considered one of the most prominent beyliks, which knew a new life in the social and administrative aspect with the emergence of layers. New aspects society, each of which contributed to changing the social reality and the administrative system, which was represented in the control of the local elements over the administrative functions. As the manifestations of cultural life were manifested through the various scientific institutions and the role of the region’s scholars in teaching science students, and the economic life was flourishing in all fields (agricultural, industrial, commercial) all these changes and conditions that Constantine knew enabled her to take leadership and privilege and empower her, which has been punished by several civilizations, and among the studies that focused on studying the general conditions in Constantine is the study the author Saleh El-Antari, who is the subject of our study, who spoke in detail about the most important Stations and conditions known to the East Baylik.
