dc.description.abstractThis study aimed to identify the role of leadership skills in enhancing competi-tive advantage. We chose the BDL to study the role of leadership skills in the development and positive change in the bank and to know its competitive posi-tion, and to achieve the objectives of the study was used descriptive analytical method and rely on primary and secondary sources in the study through books, fields and previous studies in this field. A questionnaire was used as an information-gathering tool, 50 questionnaires were distributed and 41 responses were retrieved. The study found that there is an application of leadership skills in the local de-velopment bank, and that the bank uses leadership skills to gain competitive ad-vantage. We also found that there is a statistically significant relation to leadership skills in its various dimensions (Individuals, organizational, technical, intellectual, human) and the competitive advantage of the local development bank. It was found that there are no statistically significant differences in the competitive ad-vantage due to the personal and functional variables (gender, age, academic level, seniority, professional level) in the local development bank. The most important recommendations and suggestions: Development of leader-ship skills is low availability of staff and we have to hold courses or workshops and work on the preparation of programs and training courses and workshops and seminars for various staff of the bank and to increase their knowledge and impact on the quality and cost of their work, in order to working to keep pace with changes and improve leadership skills Continuously and in a manner com-mensurate with the nature of the Bank's work.EN_en
