Abstract

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds .Prayers and peace be upon Mohammed , his family and companions. This thesis is for the Master's degree in Islamic Sciences, entitled: “Aspects and provisions of contemporary libel and defamation”. Prepared by the student Fatima MESSAOUDI and supervised by the teacher Mr. Mustafa BENDRISSOU. This thesis is to serve the Islamic jurisprudence, contribute in knowing the jurisprudential rulings on contemporary topics and enrich the Islamic libraries with such topics. The student mentioned the most important provisions related to the thesis topic. The nature of this research necessitated its division into an introduction, a preliminary study and two chapters. The first chapter is devoted to the defamation, the second to the libel. It contained definitions for both in Sharia and law. I also have mentioned some terms that have a relation to them and have discussed the important provisions about sections and sanctions. I have mentioned some contemporary aspects with their provisions at the end of the chapters. The conclusion contained the most prominent results and suggestions that I have seen necessary to provide some pieces of advice about. Lastly, I ask Allah for good and well acceptance. Amen.
