Abstract: Gas turbines are fundamental to various modern industries, primarily using natural gas as their main fuel source. These turbines are crucial for meeting the growing demand for energy due to their ability to provide a quick and efficient response. However, their reliance on natural gas introduces several risks, particularly the threat of fires resulting from gas leaks, operational mistakes, or mechanical failures. Fires in gas turbines represent some of the most critical incidents in power plants, which can cause substantial human and material losses, production downtime, and service interruptions. Consequently, enhancing the fire protection system becomes crucial. The development of advanced fire protection solutions is a vital step to ensure safe operation, safeguarding both personnel and equipment. This thesis will outline the necessary procedures and steps to develop an effective fire protection system, with a primary focus on automatic transition mechanisms between normal and emergency operating modes during fire incidents.
